The Sea Wall
Since the collapse, when the earth’s climate was irrevocably changed, people are forced to live with their environment or die.
Unpredicted shifts in plates tectonics and massive atmospheric storm formations dramatically and rapidly raised sea levels and placed inland cities in uncomfortable territory. Along the new coast people hastily constructed giant protective infrastructure. Tons upon tons of steel interlaced and propped into position. The last stand against the endless and unforgiving sea. The city has adapted to regular flooding and the process of repair.
The community members take shifts and celebrate annual events to keep the seawall working. But construction is endless. The wall is raised yearly, and materials are increasingly hard to find as the shore errodes around them. and the sea becomes more violent.
Helena and Lou have lived here for many years, and they feel they’re rusting alongside the steel walls and walkways of their neighborhood. A storm is coming and they can only hope the city and themselves are prepared.
However, there are some strange discoveries waiting deep in the depths of the city, from long before Helena and Lou walked the remains of the sandy beaches, from before they raised the seawall another 150 feet, from before the collapse. Find out in the SEA WALL.
