“Exposed” is a short illustrated poem about the way the modern-day loneliness epidemic , wealth inequality, and the climate crisis shape human experience and society. I try to anthropomorphize the environment, making canyons, deserts, and bus stops hold psychological representations, to make us feel like the world feels the way we do. I also try to melt cold scientific language into songlike bids for connection.
"In this infinite universe that we hold in our hands, it's easy to get lost, as the world is incomprehensibly large."
